Born and raised in Vitry- le-François, in the south of the Marne region, Yann Munier is deeply rooted in the Champagne terroir where he was born, and has spent his entire career with the House. Inspired by the style of the G.H. Mumm Champagne House and its innovative vision, he is equally attached to the human values that characterize its know-how of excellence.
Trained as an engineer and oenologist, Yann Munier has been a winegrower and winemaker for three generations, from father to son to daughter. Today, he works with his sister to manage the family winery.
Known as a man of the field, of wine and of the collective, Yann Munier is viscerally attached to the Champagne terroir, particularly concerned with wine quality, and genuinely turned towards people.
He wants to take his teams with him, creating a close bond and giving meaning to his new project for Mumm, whose style he appreciates - his approach to Pinot Noir based on freshness, elegance and fruit - his ability to explore wine tasting in a new light.
